While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I discovered behind its walls was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I walked in , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this establishment . The ground was covered in grime , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of excrement , putrefaction and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and debris that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The toilet was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was human waste .
It wasn’t just a isolated occurrence either. From reading other reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a persistent problem . Many guests have reported witnessing insects darting across the serving surface and evidence of rodent infestations in the bar and house area . For a business that caters to patrons, these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the integrity of the food and drinks .

During my time there, I saw how uncomfortable several female guests seemed around Cornwell. As I looked into it more , I was appalled to find numerous complaints against him involving misconduct , with multiple women reporting interactions of sending unsolicited explicit content . Described as excessively forward and inappropriate , his behavior has created an blog intimidating space for women who attend Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often resembled that of a unsettling figure than a friendly owner .
